From the moment Churro arrived in foster care, it didn't take long for everyone to fall in love with this sweet Frugg and his adorable personality. Whether he was proudly parading around the house with a toy, bone, sock, or shoe, lounging in the sunshine, or soaking up praise for being the "goodest boy," Churro had a special way of bringing smiles wherever he went.
This lovable couch potato has traded foster life for a forever family who will cherish his gentle heart, goofy antics, and endless snuggles. We know Hannah and Doug will enjoy every moment with their happy-go-lucky companion, and Churro will have all the love, treats, and cozy naps he could ever want.

The sweetest little cuddle bug has found her forever family!
On June 29, 2026, Olive was adopted by Lindsey and her family, and we couldn't be more excited! Even sweeter, Lindsey's son has been dreaming of having a pug best friend for so long, and now he gets to spend every day with his very own snuggle buddy.
Olive is the definition of a Velcro pug. Whether she's soaking up the sunshine, carrying around one of her favorite toys (or an occasional shoe), or snuggled as close as physically possible, she's happiest when she?s with her people. Her favorite sleeping spot - Right on your pillow with her head resting on yours!
We have no doubt Olive will be keeping her new family smiling with her adorable wiggly butt greetings, endless affection, and championship-level cuddles. We especially love knowing that one little boy?s wish for a pug best friend has finally come true.

ONI FOUND HIS PEOPLE!
Everyone's favorite little shadow has officially found his forever home!
We're so excited to announce that Oni was adopted by Theresa and her husband on June 28, 2026!
Oni quickly became a favorite at GMPR with his sweet soul, gentle heart, and one very important life goal... to never let his humans out of his sight! Whether he was carrying his favorite toy around the house, following his foster family from room to room, or claiming the closest lap for cuddle duty, Oni was happiest simply being with the people he loved.
This handsome 3-year-old black pug was everything you could ask for a total sweetheart, house-trained, dog-friendly, well-mannered, and always ready to trade kisses for belly rubs. His foster family lovingly nicknamed him their little "professional shadow," because wherever you went... Oni was right behind you.
Now this lovable Velcro pug has exactly what he's always wanted?a family to call his own. Theresa and her husband have gained the sweetest best friend, and Oni has gained a lifetime of love, adventures, toys, and endless snuggles.

We are beyond excited to announce that Bonnie was adopted by Wendy on June 27, 2026!
Bonnie's story began with heartbreak after her beloved owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness and made the incredibly selfless decision to ensure Bonnie would have a safe and loving future.
When Bonnie first came to GMPR, she was scared, unsure, and trying to make sense of a world that had suddenly changed. But with patience, love, and time, her sweet personality slowly began to shine. Beneath that timid exterior was the ultimate "house hippo" a gentle girl who loves cozy naps, quiet routines, and being close to her people.
Today, Bonnie gets the happy ending she has always deserved.
We couldn't have asked for a better match than Wendy, an experienced pug owner and proud GMPR alumni adopter. Bonnie has found someone who understands pugs, appreciates her gentle spirit, and will give her all the love, patience, and comfort she needs to continue blossoming.

When Bunny first arrived in foster care, she was a quiet, shy little girl who was still trying to figure out her new world. It didn't take long, though, for her true personality to burst onto the scene and what a personality it is! This beautiful 2-year-old Frugg is full of energy, confidence, intelligence, and enough enthusiasm to brighten every room she enters.
Whether she was racing around the yard, exploring every corner, showing off her impressive agility, or keeping a watchful eye on everyone in the house (especially her foster brother!), Bunny embraced every day as a new adventure. She quickly became the self-appointed household supervisor, making sure everyone was exactly where they were supposed to be. And thanks to her love of treats, she proved to be a smart cookie who was always eager to learn something new.
Bunny wasn't just fun and adventurous?she also had wonderful manners. House-trained, crate-trained, respectful with other dogs, and a perfect little lady at the vet, she showed everyone what a truly special companion she would become. After a busy day of play, she was always ready to soak up affection and enjoy some well-earned cuddle time with her favorite people.

The wait is over... Lewis has officially been adopted by Noelle and her family! They made it official on May 31, 2026, and we couldn't be happier for this amazing little guy.
At just one year old, Lewis had already faced more than his fair share of challenges. After losing one eye due to an injury, he never let it slow him down. Instead, he showed us all what resilience looks like with a wagging tail, endless curiosity, and a heart full of love.
This sweet boy stole hearts everywhere he went. Whether he was collecting toys, begging for snacks, going for car rides, or curling up under the blankets for bedtime cuddles, Lewis lived every day with pure joy. He loved everyone he met, adored kids, got along wonderfully with other dogs, and was happiest right by his people's side.
Now he gets to spend the rest of his life exactly where he belongs?with a family who loves him just the way he is.

On May 25, 2026, Coco's life changed forever.
Sometimes, a dog finds her forever home the moment she walks through the door.
When beautiful brindle Frenchie Coco arrived at her foster home, her foster mom, Shelly, knew almost immediately that Coco was exactly where she belonged. What started as fostering quickly turned into something much more special and on May 25th, Coco officially became a permanent member of Shelly's family!
After spending the first 3-4 years of her life as a breeder dog, Coco never had the opportunity to experience what it truly meant to be loved and cherished as a family member. But from the moment she arrived, she embraced all the comforts she had been missing. Whether she was snuggled up next to her people, exploring her surroundings, or enjoying the comfort of a warm bed, Coco's sweet personality blossomed more each day.
This affectionate girl quickly showed everyone just how special she is. House-trained, loving, and full of adorable Frenchie charm, Coco captured Shelly's heart from the very beginning. It soon became clear that this wasn't just a foster placement - it was home.

This adorable young Puggle traveled all the way from Mexico through our partnership with a Texas pug rescue, alongside his brother, Frito. Frito's journey has come full circle, and this brave little soul has finally found the loving forever home he deserves.
At just 1 year old, Frito has already experienced more than most dogs ever should, surviving life on the streets and spending months in a shelter before making the long journey from Mexico through Texas and into GMPR's care. From Texas to Vermont, Winston?s journey has come full circle?and this happy ending feels like it was meant to be all along.
This charming, energetic 5-year-old Puggle arrived in New England ready to take on the world (and every corner of his foster home!). From the moment he walked through the door, Winston made himself right at home - zooming around with excitement, making fast friends with the resident pups, and showing off his playful, affectionate personality.
But sometimes, the perfect forever family is the one that's been there from the very beginning.
Winston found that with his foster parents, Mike and Emily. What started as a temporary stop quickly turned into something more as they got to know (and love!) this sweet, silly boy. With years of experience caring for pugs and puggle mixes and a home already filled with two pugs and a fellow puggle, they knew Winston would fit right in.
And fit in he did.
Now officially a foster fail, Winston gets to stay right where he's happiest surrounded by canine companions his size, plenty of playtime, and humans who adore him. With cozy spots to snuggle (preferably with his people!) and a family that understands his needs right down to his preference for smaller dog friends. Winston truly landed exactly where he belongs.

Adopted: Larry & Moe!
Double the love, double the snuggles and double the celebration! We are thrilled to announce that the sweetest father-son duo, Larry (8) and Moe (5), were officially adopted on April 3, 2026!
These Boston Terrier/Pug mix boys are truly inseparable whether they're napping side by side, playing together, or snuggled up for bedtime, their bond is something special. Moe has proudly mastered the doggy door, while Larry is still figuring it out (with lots of encouragement and cuddles along the way!). Larry also has a fun-loving side especially when it comes to his favorite winter treat - snow!
Their perfect match came in the form of Jesse, an experienced and passionate rescue advocate with decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs especially pugs. Jesse was specifically hoping to open her home to a bonded pair, offering them a safe, loving environment with plenty of space to roam, a doggy door to enjoy, and all the comfort and care they deserve. With a long history of rescuing dogs, deep compassion, and a commitment to providing patience, kindness, and security, Jesse is everything we could hope for in an adopter.
Larry and Moe now have a home filled with love, cozy cuddles, and the promise of many happy adventures ahead.

Parker & Otis have found their perfect forever home?and it's a match made in pug heaven
These two sweet boys, Otis (8) and Parker (7), came into rescue after the heartbreaking loss of their owner. Through it all, they remained the gentle, affectionate, and easygoing companions we quickly fell in love with. From their adorable snoring sessions to their love of burrowing under cozy blankets, these bonded boys have always found comfort in each other and now, they have a whole family to share that love with.
We are thrilled to share that Parker and Otis have been adopted by Brian and Judy, lifelong pug lovers with decades of experience and a deep commitment to rescue. Having shared their lives with pugs since the 1990s, and with multiple rescue organizations including previous adoptions through GMPR, they truly understand and appreciate everything that makes this breed so special.
Their home is nothing short of a dream. Set on a beautiful property, Parker and Otis will be surrounded by a variety of friendly animals, including fellow dogs, cats, and even farm animals, giving them a rich and engaging environment to explore. With a dedicated space just for their pups, thoughtful routines, and a strong understanding of house training (including patience, structure, and even a sense of humor!), Brian and Judy are exceptionally well-prepared to meet all of their needs.
Most importantly, these boys will never be without love or companionship. With a home where someone is always nearby and a family that prioritizes their animals, Parker and Otis will continue to thrive together, just as they always have.

Olga's happily ever after has arrived and it?s everything we hoped for this special girl
At 7 years old, sweet fawn pug Olga came into rescue with so much love to give. Despite being mostly blind and deaf, she never let that slow her down. With a little guidance and a lot of heart, Olga quickly learned her surroundings and showed everyone just how resilient and affectionate she is. Whether she was snuggled up in bed or snoozing on the couch, Olga's favorite place has always been right next to her person.
And now she has the perfect people to call her own.
Olga has been adopted by Melissa and Michael, a truly dedicated pug-loving couple with over 20 years of experience caring for this special breed. Their home has been filled with pugs past and present, including two beloved GMPR alumni, and they have a deep appreciation for the unique joy that senior dogs bring. They specifically shared how rewarding it is to give older pugs the love and comfort they deserve and that made Olga an especially meaningful match.
Their home is full of love, patience, and understanding exactly what Olga needs. With a fenced yard for safe exploring, a cozy home environment, and even a grandmother nearby who enjoys spending time with the dogs, Olga will never be short on companionship. Melissa and Michael also have a wonderful pack of friendly pups to welcome her, but they understand her needs, including giving her space during mealtime and helping her navigate her world safely.
Most importantly, Olga will have what she loves most: people who are committed to being by her side, offering comfort, affection, and a lifetime of snuggles.

Some love stories are simply meant to be... and that's exactly the case for our sweet Penny and her adopter, Pat.
Pat is no stranger to Green Mountain Pug Rescue. She's been a dedicated, long-time foster mom, opening her heart and home to so many pugs in need. But when Penny arrived, something special happened. It was love at first sight, and this time, Pat just couldn't let her go.
At 9 years young, Penny proves every single day that age is just a number! This petite 14-pound fawn girl is full of life, zooming around the yard, tossing her toys in the air, and bringing endless joy with her playful spirit. When she?s not on the move, you can find her cozied up watching TV (especially if animals are on the screen, her favorite!).
Penny has truly blossomed in Pat's care. She?s house-trained, loves car rides, sleeps snuggled in bed, and thrives on her routine. With her adorable head tilts and attentive nature, she's as smart as she is sweet. While she can be a little sensitive at first, Penny has been making beautiful progress learning that cuddles are safe and we know Pat will continue to give her the patience and love she needs to keep growing.
On February 20, 2026, Penny officially found her forever home right where she already belonged.
From foster dog to forever family, Penny's story is the perfect reminder that sometimes the best endings are the ones we never saw coming.

We are overjoyed to share that beautiful Molly was officially adopted on February 18, 2026!
Molly, a stunning 7-year-old black female pug with soulful eyes and a heart full of devotion, has begun her next chapter with an adopter whose love for pugs runs deep. After spending most of her life in one home, Molly was ready for a calm, loving environment where her loyal nature would be understood and cherished and that is exactly what she found.
Molly brings so many wonderful qualities to her new family. She's housebroken when kept on a consistent schedule, crate trained, and a wonderful passenger on car rides. She enjoys relaxing on the couch, spending time outdoors, and has always been comfortable settling into her crate at night. She allows handling for everyday care like ear cleaning and face washing and has lovely manners when it comes to toys, treats, and food.
She's also good with other dogs and cats and has shown that she can share her world beautifully. Most of all, Molly thrives on companionship, being near her person, part of daily routines, and included in life's quiet moments.
Her adopter brings decades of pug experience, having loved and cared for many pugs throughout her life including seniors and special needs dogs. With a home filled with patience, compassion, structure, and an understanding of the breed's loyal and sometimes protective nature, Molly has landed exactly where she belongs. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Papito officially found his forever home on January 29, 2026!
This 3-month-old Bugg (Boston Terrier/Pug mix) made the long journey from Texas and from the moment he arrived, he let everyone know that he was here to rule. King of zoomies. Champion of snuggles. Supreme Commander of Toy Chaos. ??
Papito wasted no time settling in. He bounced right into family life, wrestling with his poodle buddy and investigating every corner of the house like the tiny furry detective he is. He's proven to be a social superstar, loving other dogs, curiously charming with cats (even if they?re not quite sure about him yet), and completely smitten with kids.
True to form, Papito is a certified Velcro pup. If you move, he moves. If you sit, he snuggles. If you leave the room? he?s already halfway there behind you. Crates? Not his favorite. Your lap? Absolutely. Your bed? Even better. Anywhere you are? Perfect.
His forever family already knew he was "the one" Having fostered him, they saw firsthand how beautifully he fit into their home and hearts.
